This committee is dedicated to fostering a continuing relationship with the many Bar
Associations serving our member firms. The Chapter has joined with the Bar Associations to present
seminars for support staff and attorneys from local law offices. There is on-going reciprocal communication of educational and special events.

Brown Bag Luncheon Meetings
Our Chapter is located in numerous counties surrounding Philadelphia, and because of the locale of the various firms, we hold monthly Brown Bag meetings for the convenience of our members. The meetings are currently held in Bucks County (1st Wednesday of each month), Montgomery County (2nd Wednesday), and Chester County (3rd Tuesday). At these informal luncheon meetings, discussions are held and ideas shared in an effort to further educate and inform our members. Community Challenge
This committee is responsible for planning and implementing community service activities in an effort for this Chapter to "give back" to the Community. The Independence Chapter participates in several events and fundraisers throughout the year. Through the International Association of Administrators we have been participating for 10 years in the Community Challenge weekend event held in October of each year.

Delaware Valley Legal Expo
The Delaware Valley Legal Expo is a joint event of the Montgomery Bar Association and the Independence Chapter, Association of Legal Administrators. This landmark event provides the opportunity to network with business partners and peers and to witness the latest and greatest products and services available to the legal community. This perennial favorite has been referred to as "the one yearly event where the entire legal community can congregate, share ideas and gain knowledge and information necessary for running a large firm or a small/solo practice efficiently and effectively." Attorneys, managing partners, law office administrators and staff are encouraged to attend.

Education
This committee is responsible for providing educational programs to our members and guests. In an effort to continually maintain the latest information in human resources, marketing, technology and general office management. They are in constant motion working to present the numerous high–quality seminars on the calendar each year. Please keep in mind that the members of the Board are always willing to hear your requests and suggestions for topics of interest.

Job Bank
The Chapter maintains a job bank so that members can post available positions within their law firm. Chapter members send a description of the position to the President who will circulate the posting to the membership via the listserv. The posting will also be listed on the website for 30 days from the date it is posted.

Newsletter
This committee is responsible for the total production of the Independence Chapter Patriot Newsletter. Duties of the Committee, with oversight by the Chair, include advertising management, content management, production management, mailing and bookkeeping.

Peer Counseling
Peer Counselor - The role of the Peer Counselor is to reach out to new members of the Independence Chapter and to answer any questions regarding activities within the Chapter; the best ways to take advantage of their membership within the Independence Chapter and to invite them to particular events being held by the Chapter. We act as a "buddy" to our new members and help them become aware and involved as much as possible in Chapter events; educational programs; and Brown Bag luncheons.

Publicity
This committee is responsible for all publicity done for the Chapter for all events and functions, including submission of press releases to county laws reporters and local newspapers. The committee manages the publicity function of the Chapter by constantly looking for ways to publicize the work being done by the Chapter. This includes constant communication with each of the committee chairs as well as sending information to the international office.

Quarterly Meetings
The chapter hosts four meetings per year. Quarterly Meetings are structured with a thirty minute networking component followed by a formal presentation, a round table discussion, or a panel discussion. Topics focus on current areas of interest to members of legal management. Our roundtable and "ask the administrator" events are two of the most popular quarterly events.
